Custom-made mannequins - Taking dressmaking to the next level
¨A few hours after unpacking my new Mimiquin I have a perfectly fitting toile! How much easier was that than all the twisting and turning trying to do it on my own body. I was even able to adjust the toile to fit my humped back, something that’s been impossible up to now.
I am so pleased I decided to invest in a Mimiquin. I’m looking forward to producing unique perfectly fitting clothes from now on! ¨

¨I love my Mimiquin - it’s definitely me!
It was a bit scary seeing myself in 3D but I know it’s going to improve the fit of my clothes and make it so much easier and faster to produce garments.
My first project is to make a dress for my daughter’s wedding.¨
Jan S. - Cheltenham
¨I lost a few pounds since getting my Mimiquin, and I am still using it all the time; it is wonderful. The bone structure and proportions are the same, so if I need to tweak and adjust things here and there, it is minimal.
I absolutely love my Mimiquin!¨
Lesley A. - Lincoln
¨Both Jaire and Mia are committed to ensuring 100% customer satisfaction and really do create a dress form that is completely unique to the person buying it.
No two bodies are the same so why should a dress form be?
I absolutely love my Mimi and cannot imagine sewing without her now; the difference she has made to the fitting process is incredible.¨

¨Thank you ladies, you provide the smartest, sweetest and kindest service. I received my Mimiquin delivered ahead of the expected time. It is so beautifully made.
I even received a height adjustable stand and my earrings! I can’t wait to make some outfits and tag you guys on some photos of my makes.
Julie Q. - London
“I love my Mimiquin. I am now getting the fit for me, so am spending more time sewing. The Mimiquin has allowed me to draft patterns for me, fit as I go along and get my hems at the correct point for me.
Can’t recommend these ladies and their company enough.“

Hello! May names Luke (SewLukeIvo), winner of The Great British Sewing Bee 2024.
I started sewing as a hobby I did with my grandma, but it didn’t really get into it until starting drag. Sewing lets me be creative and share that creativity, whether it’s through the clothes I wear or the costumes I make, it’s become a huge part of who I am.
As a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant, I work with big organizations to create spaces where everyone feels welcome, and that’s exactly what Mimiquins does in the sewing world. There are so many limitations in fast fashion and even in home sewing, but Mimiquins is all about breaking down those barriers and making sewing more inclusive, which is something I’m really proud to be a part of. Jaire and Mia are incredible at what they do, and I’m so proud to be their brand ambassador—and the first ever Mimiquins drag body!
Making clothes for drag performances can be tricky because drag bodies are often built very differently. The drag Mimiquin is such an exciting solution, letting me be more creative and get a perfect fit for some show-stopping looks. I’m super excited to be part the Mimiquins journey.
Hi, I’m Sarah, aka The Vintage Sewer and winner of Miss Vintage UK 2023.
I live and love vintage; late 30s to early 50s but especially the WWII era. The clothes, fit, style and aesthetic of the time just speaks to me and I feel myself in this style, hence I sew vintage inspired clothes following the original aesthetic using sewing patterns along with fabric and notions from the era.
I’m incredibly proud and honoured to be a brand ambassador for Mimiquins. I first met Jaire and Mia at a one year birthday bash for my local fabric shop where they were showcasing what they can do and honestly I was blown away from the moment I met them. Their commitment and dedication is second to none and the whole process is mind blowing. I’ve loved every minute and I'm super excited and thrilled to have the first Mimiquin with my vintage body aesthetic and all its unique quirks. My biggest challenges with standard dress forms were the neck, shoulders and bust and for someone who is slightly ocd and quite particular, this made fittings a nightmare. Not anymore! My new Mimiquin is a GAME Changer!!!
I love to collaborate and work alongside two incredible women as their vintage brand ambassador.
Hi, I’m Yvonne, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2010, and rely on my trusty wheelchair to get about, (hence being known as The Wheelie Stitcher).
I have been sewing since I was a little girl and really enjoy the creative process of making my own clothes.
MS certainly slows me down and creates its own unique set of challenges but I’m determined to not let it dampen my enthusiasm. With the help of my wonderful husband, I’m able to continue sewing and I want to prove that having a disability shouldn’t stop you doing what you enjoy.
I’m very proud to be a Brand Ambassador for Mimiquins as they have been incredible in working with me to produce the UK’s first seated dress form. I’m so happy that this option will now be available for everyone.
Both Jaire and Mia are committed to ensuring 100% customer satisfaction and really do create a dress form that is completely unique to the person buying it.

Lauren Tedstone, quarterfinalist of series 9 of BBC’s Great British Sewing Bee. Her machine, given to her many years before by her grandmother, was finally put to use in late 2019 when Lauren taught herself to sew. Starting with small projects for her children, Lauren then went on to garment sewing and is on a journey to curate and create a complete handmade wardrobe. A big lover of fashion trends, she loves creating key timeless classics that have professional finishes and longevity.
Body positivity is really important for Lauren. She came into sewing shortly after having children and at a stage of her life where she was learning the importance of embracing her new body. Having the skills to now sew her own clothes, Lauren now can make the clothes she struggled to buy.
“I’ve tried standard mannequins before and they just do not work for me, I found they caused more upset than good as they aren’t a true reflection on my body type. I found it hard to fit garments to these mannequins. I was so excited to discover the wonderful work of Mimiquins as I am now able to fit clothes to my exact body double. I am so excited to work on creations that shall now fit to perfection! I am honoured to now work alongside 2 incredible women as a brand ambassador’
